text lessonHow This Course Works: job-first labs, mapped to NSE 4 What you get Live classes on MS Teams: interactive, instructor‑led sessions with chat, polls, whiteboard, and breakout labs. Hands‑on labs: real FortiGate environments (virtual) with guided exercises. LMS access: all slides, lab guides, configs, notes, announcements, and a discussion forum in one place. Quizzes & mock exams: timed, exam‑style questions mapped to NSE 4 objectives. Recordings: every live session is recorded and posted inside the LMS for review. Support: Q&A during class, WhatsApp Group + async help via LMS discussion. Language: Delivery is primarily Sinhala (සිංහල) with technical terms in English when appropriate. Labs & VPN Access Our labs replicate real enterprise topologies so you learn by doing. How you’ll access the labs Receive credentials: Before the course begins, you’ll get an email with your LMS login, VPN username/password (or OTP), and lab access guide. Install Cloudflare One Client: We provide a short guide to install Cloudflare One Client and add the pre‑shared portal/server address. Connect to the lab network: Sign in to the VPN. A successful connection shows an active tunnel icon. Open the jump host / devices: Jump Host (Windows/RDP) or direct HTTPS/SSH to FortiGate. You’ll also access auxiliary services (DNS, web) as the exercise requires. Do the labs: Follow the task list (config firewall policies, NAT, routing, VPNs, IPS/URL filtering, SD‑WAN basics, logging, backups, upgrades, etc.). Save & snapshot: Export configs/backups as instructed. Some labs auto‑reset to a clean state. Lab etiquette & policies Don’t change management IPs/passwords outside the task scope. No Internet scanning, crypto‑mining, or unrelated traffic. Use only the IP ranges and tools provided; respect other students’ pods. Maintenance windows may occur; any downtime will be announced in the LMS. Troubleshooting quick wins If VPN won’t connect: verify credentials, time sync, try wired connection, or switch ISP if possible. Can’t reach devices: check VPN is up, confirm correct VLAN/pod, test with ping/tracert, then post details in the LMS. LMS Access (Portal) Your LMS account contains: class calendar, MS Teams links, recordings, slides, lab guides, quizzes, and announcements. Mobile friendly: You can view content on mobile; use a laptop/desktop for hands‑on labs. Discussion: Ask questions, attach screenshots, and learn from peers. MS Teams Live Classes Join from the LMS calendar or the reminder email. Keep your mic muted unless speaking; use chat and reactions to engage. We use whiteboards and screen‑share to demo FortiGate GUI/CLI. If you miss a session, watch the recording and attempt the lab before the next class. Session Recordings Recordings are uploaded to the LMS after each live class. Access is provided for the active course run (and a grace period as announced in the LMS). Recordings are for personal learning only—do not share or repost. Quizzes & Exam Preparation (NSE 4) Weekly quizzes: short checks after modules (routing, policies/NAT, VPN, security profiles, logging/HA, etc.). Multiple attempts allowed; best score counts. Mock exams: timed, exam‑like conditions with domain weighting aligned to NSE 4 FortiOS blueprints. Review sessions: we discuss tricky items, exam traps, and test‑taking strategy. Exam readiness: a checklist helps you decide when to book the official exam. Practice with real exam questions; our bank is original and exam‑style. Real Devices, Real Skills Configure interfaces, VLANs, zones, and clean segmentation. Build policy packages, NAT/PAT, and VIP/DNAT for DMZ services. Implement IPsec site‑to‑site and SSL VPN for remote users (with MFA concepts). Enable IPS, URL filtering, AV, application control, and basic SD‑WAN. Perform backups/upgrades, manage logs, and read session tables for troubleshooting. NSE 4 Exam Voucher — (25-50%) Off (Special Note) We periodically receive a limited allocation of discounted NSE 4 exam vouchers (up to 50% off). Subject to availability.
